Step-by-step explanation:

Let the distance travell by car=s

velocity of car in Ist case=60km/hr

in 2nd case= 20km/hr

in third case =10km/hr

time in Ist case=?

using formula

time=distance/speed

then

time=s/60hr

time in 2nd case=s/20hr

time in 3rd case=s/10hr

We know

average speed=total distance travell/total time taken

average speed =3s/[s/60+s/20+s/10]

=3s/[s+3s+6s/60

=3s/[10s/60]

=3(60/10)

=6×3km/hr

=18km/hr
