Hey friend!

a = (v-u)/t

Final velocity = 36km/hr
Initial velocity = 60km/hr

Therefore acceleration,

= (36-60)10
= (-24)/10
= - 2•4

Therefore acceleration is -2•4
Since the value is in negative, it must be retardation.
Hence retardation is 2•4 km/hr^2

Thank you!

retardation means negative acceleration
retardation=v-u/t
v(final velocity)=60km/hr
u( initial velocity)=36km/hr
-acceleration=-60-36/t
-96/t km/hr
-96/t × 5/18
-16×5/3×10seconds
-90/30
=-9/3
=-3
