Initial speed of the car (u) = 34 m/s

Let the final speed of the car be v.

Acceleration of the car (a) = - 12 m/s^2

Distance covered during slowing down (s) = 26 m

Now, using the third equation of the motion:

v^2 = u^2 + 2as

v^2 = 35^2 - 2 \times 12 \times 26

v^2 = 1225 - 624

v = 24.52 m/s

Hence, the speed of the car is 24.52 m/s after slowing down
