Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity.
Mathematically, acceleration (a)=(V2 –V1)/t
where V2 is the final velocity and V1 is the initial velocity and t is the time taken
Here, V1= 20km/hr
= 20×1000/3600m/s
=50/9m/s
and V2 = 60km/hr
=60×1000/3600m/s
=50/3 m/s
So here acceleration
=v2-v1/t
={50/3 – 50/9}/6
=50/27m/s^2
=1.85m/s^2
