A car travelling in the velocity of 60 km per hour speed down to 20 km per hour in 6 seconds. What is the retardation?

initial velocity v1=16.67m/s
final velocity v2=5.56m/s
time taken t=6sec
acceleration=(v2-v1)/t
so retardation =1.851m/s^2
