A car travels 100km at a uniform speed 40km/hr and the next 125km at a uniform speed of 50km/hr . find average speed of car

1st case:-
v = 40 km/h
s = 100 km
t = s/v
= 100/40
= 5/2 h
= 2.5 h

2nd case:-
v = 50 km/h
s = 125 km
t = s/v
= 125/50
= 5/2 h
= 2.5 h
Average speed = Total distance/Total time taken
= (100+125)/(2.5+2.5)
= 225/5
= 45 km/h
