Car travels 100km at 40km/h at first.
As we know →
Time = Distance/Speed
So, Time = 100/40 = 2.5 hours
Car now travelled 125km at 50 km/h.
So, Time taken now = 125/50 = 2.5 hours.
As, we know Average speed =
Total Distance covered / Total Time Taken
Here, total distance covered = 100+125 km
= 225 km
Total Time taken = 2.5+2.5 hours
= 5hours
So, Average speed of car throughout the journey = 225/5 = 45 km/h
As we know →
Time = Distance/Speed
So, Time = 100/40 = 2.5 hours
Car now travelled 125km at 50 km/h.
So, Time taken now = 125/50 = 2.5 hours.
As, we know Average speed =
Total Distance covered / Total Time Taken
Here, total distance covered = 100+125 km
= 225 km
Total Time taken = 2.5+2.5 hours
= 5hours
So, Average speed of car throughout the journey = 225/5 = 45 km/h
