Given - 15 litre petrol used for travelling 300 kilometre

Find - Petrol used for travelling 400 kilometres

Solution - We can solve the given problem using unitary method. As per the information in question, 300 kilometres journey requires 15 litres of petrol.

So, 400 kilometres journey will require the amount of petrol = 15*400/300

Petrol required for 400 kilometres of journey = 20 litres

Hence, 20 litres of petrol will be used by the car in journey of 400 kilometres.
