Seven Ages -William Shakespeare


Seven ages is one of the most famous and most appreciated poem by William Shakespeare. in this poem the life of humans is considered as a stage and all the men and women are the players, the have to play multiple roles during the play. The life of humans is divided into 7 STAGES:-
Infancy
school boy
lover
soldier
judge
old pantaloon
senile

After playing all these roles the man exits the stage it symbolises that the ultimate reality of life is death.

It is a poem in which the poet compares our life to a play and that we all are players . We all have aur entrances and exits in the form of birth and death . The poet says that we all have seven stages in our life . The first one is that of an infant , second is of a school child , then the teenage , then a young man , then the age of parent comes , then old age and at last extreme old .....
