the car travels first 30 km in 1 hour means speed is 30 km per hour

then the car travel 40 km in 30 minutes means speed is 20 km per hour

total distance of the journey is 120 km
so rest of the journey = 120-40-30=50 km

so the car travels 50 km in 1 hour 30 minutes means speed is 50 ×2 / 3 km per hour

therefore average speed is [30 + 20 + 100 / 3] ÷3=250 / 9 km per hour
