a car travels from stop a to stop b with a speed of 30 km /h and the. returns back a with a speed of 50 km/h .find distance travelled by car and average speed of the car​

Explanation:

Speed of car from a to b, v1 = 30km/h

Speed of car from b to a, v2 = 50km/h

let the time taken to travel from  to be be t1 and time taken to travel from b to a be t2 then by the formula of distance we know that

for path a to b

distance x = 30/t1

              t1 =30/x -------(1)

for path b to a

distance, x = 50/t2

               t2 = 50/x --------(2)  

adding eq. (1) and (2)

t1 + t2 = 30/x+50/x

          = (30 + 50)/x

      x  = 80 Km (here let total time be 1 hour )
