A car travels with a constant velocity of 27 km/ h for 10min and then decelerates for 10 mins before Coming to rest . Find the total distance travelled by the car.

=27×1000/60×60

=7.5m/s

car travel in minutes =10×60×7.5=4500m=4.5km

  • u=7.5,
  • t=10×60=600s
  • v=0

by formula v=u + at

a=-u/t

a=-0.0124m/s^2

now v^2=u^2+2as

it gives s=u^2/2a

s=2250m=2.25 km

total distance=4.5+2.25=6.75
