A car was moving at 10m/s. After applying brakes it stops in 4s. If it moves with uniform retardation, 1. Draw its velocity time curve 2. Find its distanced travell​

U=10 m/s

t=4 s

v=0 (car stops)

S=?

v=u+at

Substituting values:-

0=10 + a x 4

-10=4a

\frac{-10}{4}=a

a= -2.5

S = ut + \frac{at^{2} }{2}

Substituting values:-

S =   (10 x 4) + (2.5 x 16)/2

S =  40 + \frac{40}{2}

S =  40 + 20

S = 60 m
