A car weighing 1200 kg is uniformly accelerated from rest and covers a distance of 40 m in 5 second calculate the work the car engine had to do during this time

Mass ,m= 1200kg
u = 0m/s and s= 40m
We know;
s= ut + 1/2 at^2
or 40 = 1/2 a (25)
or a = 3.2 m/s^2

Again work done= FS = mas = 1200 * 3.2 * 40 =153600 J
