Total number of outcomes = 52

(There are 52 playing cards in a deck)

Favourable outcomes (red face card) = Heart King, heart queen, heart Jack and Diamond king, diamond queen and diamond jack

Number of favourable outcomes = 6

 \underline{ \bf{probability(red \: face \: card)}}

 \boxed{ \bf{ =  \frac{favourable \: outcomes}{total \: number \: of \: outcomes \: } }}

 \bf{ =  \frac{6}{52} }

 =  \frac{ \cancel6 \: 3}{ \cancel{52} \: 26}

 =  \frac{3}{26}

Probability can never be smaller than 0 .

It can also never be greater than 1 .
