Thus area of the cardboard is 20600 cm^2

Explanation:

  • Length of cardboard = 80 cm
  • Breadth of cardboard = 70 cm
  • Height of cardboard = 50 cm

Area of the cardboard = L.S.A of the box + Area of the box

Area of the cardboard =  2 h ( l + h ) + l x b

Area of the cardboard =  2 x 50 ( 80 + 70) + 80 x 70

Area of the cardboard =  100 x 150 + 5600

Area of the cardboard =  15000 + 5600

Area of the cardboard = 20600 cm^2

Thus area of the cardboard is 20600 cm^2
