A carpenter has made a table whose upper plane has all four sides equal,

both diagonals are equal, both diagonals bisect each other, both diagonals

are perpendicular to each other and each angle is 90º. What is the name of

Given :- A carpenter has made a table whose upper plane has all four sides equal, both diagonals are equal, both diagonals bisect each other, both diagonals are perpendicular to each other and each angle is 90º. What is the name of the quadrilateral of upper plane of table ?

Solution :-

from given conditions we get,

→ All four sides equal = Square or rhombus .

→ Diagonals are equal = Square , rectangle or isosceles trapezium .

→ Both diagonals bisect each other = Square, rhombus , rectangle or parallelogram .

→ Both diagonals are perpendicular to each other = Square, rhombus or kite .

→ Each angle is 90° = Square or rectangle .

as we can see that, square have all the given properties .

therefore, we can conclude that, the name of the quadrilateral of upper plane of table is Square .
