Length of the carpet=30m 75cm=3075cm
Breadth of the carpet=80cm
Area of the carpet=L*B
=3075*80
=246000cm^2

Area in metres=246000/100
=2460m^

Cost per m^2=2460*150
=₹369000

Hope it helped you...........

Given,

Dimensions of a carpet;

Length = L = 30 m 75 cm

Breadth = B = 80 cm

Cost per square meter of the carpet = Rs 150

To find,

The total cost of the carpet.

Solution,

We can simply solve this mathematical problem using the following process:

As per the units of conversion;

100 centimeters = 1 meter

So, the length of the carpet = 30 m 75 cm

= 30 m + 75 cm = 30 m + 0.75 m

= 30.75 m

And,

breadth of the carpet = 80 cm = 0.8 m

As per mensuration;

Area of a rectangle = length x breadth

Now,

the total area of the carpet

= length of the carpet x breadth of the carpet

= 30.75 m x 0.8 m

= 24.6 m^2

Now,

the total cost of the carpet

= (total area of the carpet) x (cost per square meter of the carpet)

= 24.6 m^2 x Rs. 150

= Rs. 3,690

Hence, the total cost of the carpet is equal to Rs. 3,690.
