A cart with mass 20kg went 50m in a straight line on a plain and smooth road when a force of 2N was applied to it. How much work was done by the force?

Given conditions ⇒

Mass of the car = 20 kg.
Distance covered = 50 m. 
For applied on the cart = 2 N. 

Now, We need to find the work done by the force, 

∴ Work done by the Force = Force applied × distance covered. 
⇒ Work done = 2 × 50
   = 100 J.

Hence, the work done by the force is 10 J.
