your answer is ------

Let, S1 = 40km/h , S2 = 60km/h
t1 = 2hour. , t2 = 3 hour

so, D1 = 40×2 = 80km and D2 = 60×3= 180km


therefore, average speed

= D1+D2/t1+t2

= 80+180/2+3

= 260/5

= 52km/h


hence, average speed is 52km/h

speed=distance/travel time
distance=2*40+60*3
              =80+180
              =260 km
travel time=2+3=5 hrs
∴ average speed during the whole journey=260/5
  52km/hr
