Diagonal communication is the process, where there are communications are allowed to be made direct with the top and junior level employees. Case study on the basis of diagonal communication, reflecting the advantages and disadvantages of such communication is as follow:-

  • Suppose a company abc.ltd, works on e-publication, where there are various levels of employees, the lowest ranking employees are the freshers being recruited and then comes the level of employees who finalize the works done by the freshers, and above them come team  leader, and finally the manager of floor.
  • Now a situation arises, where the freshers are mistreated by there senior staff, then freshers can directly communicate with the manager of the floor, and sort out the trouble.
  • In this way many mistreatment is avoided, but manager being higher level of staff has a huge responsibility of works, and many times such small issues coming may hamper the overall working quality of the company.
