A cat is sitting at a distance of 70cm in front of a plane mirror.
(a) At what distance is the image of the cat from itself?
(b) If the mirror is now moved 0.3m away from the cat how does the image shift from its
previous
image?

The distance of image from the plane mirror is same as the distance of object (person) from the plane mirror but the image is formed behind the mirror.

∴ v=u=3 m

Thus distance between image and the person d=u+v=3+3=6 m
