A scientist begins with a single cell.
The cell of a bacteria double in every 30 minutes.
So, the bacteria cell in every 30 min =1×2=2
So, cell of bacterium in 1 hour=2×2×1
So, for every 30 minutes passed we have to multiply 2 in previous amount.
1 hour comprises of 2 sets of 30 minutes
And for amount of bacteria in an hour we had to multiply initial amount by 2 , twice.
That is 2×2=2
2
⋯⋯{∵a
m
+a
n
=a
m+n
}
So, 12 hours comprises of 24 sets of 30 minutes
So, to get amount of bacteria cell after 12 hours we have to multiply initial cell by 2, 24 times that is we have to multiply it by 2
24
cell of bacterium in 12 h=2
24
×1=2
