Answer:

profit with white cement = 3500 × 15 = Rs 52500.

loss with grey bag = 2000 × 8 = Rs 16000.

therefore, the total loss = Rs 16000.

and,

the total profit = Rs( 52500 - 16000 )

total profit = Rs 36500.

Given :-

  • Profit of Rs.15 / bag on white cement .
  • Loss of Rs.8 / bag on Grey cement .
  • Company Sell = 3500 bags of white cement & 2000 bags of Gray Cement .

To Find :-

  • Total Profit or Loss % ?

Solution :-

Profit on 1 bag of White cement = Rs.15

→ So, Profit on 3500 bags of white cement = 15 * 3500 = Rs.52500 = Total Profit ----------- Equation (1)

And,

Loss on 1 bag of Grey cement = Rs.8

→ So, Profit on 2000 bags of white cement = 8 * 2000 = Rs.16000 = Total Loss ----------- Equation (2)

So,

Overall Profit = Equation 1 - Equation 2

→ Overall Profit = 52500 - 16000

→ Overall Profit = Rs.36500 (Ans).

Hence, The cement company has a overall Profit of Rs.36500.
