Profit from a bag of white cement = Rs 8

Loss from a bag of grey cement = Rs 5

Find the profit from 3000 bags of white cement:

1 bag = Rs 8

3000 bags = 8 x 3000 = Rs 24000

Find the loss from the 5000 bags of grey cement:

1 bag = Rs 5

5000 bags = 5 x 5000 = Rs 25,000

Find the net profit/loss:

Rs 25,000 > Rs 24000

⇒ It is a loss

Loss = 25000 - 24000 = Rs 1000

Answer: There is a loss of Rs 1000
