A cement company earns a profit of Rs 7 per bag of white cement sold and a loss of Rs 5 per bag of grey cement sold. The company sold 2500 bags of white cement and 4500 bags of grey cement in a particular month. What is its profit or loss?

The number of bags of white cement sold is equal to 3000 bags. The total profit earned by selling the given number of bags=3000×8=24,000 rupees. The loss by a cement company by selling grey cement = Rs. 5 per bag.

4500×5 = rs 22500 loss

So , rs (22500-17500)= rs 5000 loss
