A certain force exerted for 1.2sec raises the speed of an object from 1.8m/s to 4.2m/s.Find its acceleration.If mass of the object is 5.5kg,calculate the force applied.

In this case,

Initial velocity = 1.8 m/s
Final velocity = 4.2 m/s
Acceleration, a = change in velocity/time
That is, a = 4.2 - 1.8/1.2
a = 2 m/s²
Force = mass * acceleration
Force = 5.5 * 2
F = 11 Newton (kg•m/s²)

A =v-u/t

A=4.2_1.8/1.2

A =2m/s2

F=m*a

F=5.5*2

F=11n
