Given,

No. of units consumed = 120 units

To find,

Energy in joule

Solution,

The energy in the joule if a household has consumed 120 units of electric energy in a month is 4.32 * 10⁸ Joule.

1 unit = 1 kWh

1 kWh = 3.6 * 10⁶ Joules

120 kWh = 120* 3.6 * 10⁶

              = 432 * 10⁶

              = 4.32 * 10⁸

Hence, If a certain household has consumed 120 units of electric energy in a month then the energy in the joule is 4.32 * 10⁸ joules.
