For adiabatic expansion of gases we know that,

P(V)^λ = constant

given λ = 1.4

Hence ,

P₁(V₁)¹°⁴ = P₂(V₂)¹°⁴

=> P₂/P₁ = (V₁/V₂)¹°⁴

But V₁/V₂ = 1/3

=> P₂/P₁ = (1/3)¹°⁴  = 0.211

=> P₂ = 0.211P₁

Hence the pressure will reduce to 0.211 times the initial pressure.

Also for adiabatic expansion,

T(V)^λ-1  = constant

Hence ,

T₁V₁⁰°⁴ = T₂V₂⁰°⁴

=> T₂/T₁ = (V₁/V₂)⁰°⁴ = (1/3)⁰°⁴ = 0.641

=> T₂ = 0.641 T₁

Hence the temperature will reduces to 0.641 times the initial value
