let the sum be x
x×6×3/100
=18x/100
18x/100+x=6372
118x/100=6372
x=637200/118
=5400
pls mark my answer as brainiest if it helps you

shenai: I think 6372 is principal + interest , so the answer may be wrong
shamaika: no the answer is totally correct

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given, A=6,372

N=3 , R=6% , now we find P=?

Then the formula is,  A= P + S.I

A= P +  (PNR/100)

A= P ( 1 + NR/100 )

Apply given values,

6,372= P (1 + 3×6/100 )

6,372= P (1 + 18/100 )

6,372= P (118/100 )

P= ( 6,372 × 100 ) ÷ 118

P= 637200 ÷ 118

P= 5,400
