mass of length 1m is M/L

mass of length l is m= M/L (l)

reference from the table

C.O.M of l length is l/2

P.E initial = mgl/2

= Ml²g/2

P.E final = MgL/2

K.E initial = 0

K.E final = MV²/2

by conservation of energy

we get

V = √g(L - l²/L)
