According to teh question,

h = 11 cm, Radius of a conical vessel = r = 2.5 cm

radius of a metallic spherical ball = R = 0.5/2 = 0.25 cm

Let n be the number of spherical balls that were dropped in the vessel.

Volume of water spilled =  Volume of spherical balls dropped

2/5volume of cone = n × volume of spherical ball
2/5×1/3πr^2h = n × 4/3πr^3
solving It we get
n = 440
hence the number of spherical ball that were dropped in the vessel is 440.

it is judicious usage of water .
