The social development which took place during the Medeival period were as follows:

1) Because of arrival of Muslims, the people of different places were mixed with Indian people and helped each other in spreading Hindu and Islamic culture.

2) Society was divided into 3 parts - Higher, middle and lower classes.Also, sex and sexual practice were also popular, Artistians, Goldsmith and Weavers lived according to their work in part of cities.

3) Many muslim customs and traditions became a part of

Hindu life and many Hindu custom were found in Muslim life.

4) There were communities such as Baniyas and Multanis

travelled all over the country in order to do trade.

5) The Bhakti movement and the Sufi movement became very popular and influenced the socio-religious life of people.

6) Different dialects were being spoken by people. Two forms of Hindi, Braj and Avadhi were used. Also, Punjabi, Gujarati, Bengali, Kannada, Marathi and Telugu etc started emerging.
