John.A.pescud was a travelling sales man of a glass company.he was not a good looking person.he was bald and had a big wide smile. he has a philosophy that a man should be decent and law abiding in his hometown.he hated best seller novels as he believed that they were unrealistic.ironically his own story was like the stories of the best seller.he falls for a girl and follow her like a hero like that of best sellers and later marries her.
