a child asked from her teacher that why organisms resemble more to their parents than grand parents. how should the teacher answer her question?

Well Teacher Should Answer that
Grandparents genes differ little with their offsprings and when their offsprings have their next generation their genes differ from them a little bit 
Like if i assign numbers lets say
Grandparents have genes nd let their genes be called as 4[like we take variables in maths i m just assigning number for better understanding it has nothing to do with reality]
Nd their offspring genes are called as 3
Nd their next generation genes r called as 2 
so this shows that difference of genes of off springs to their next generation is less and difference of next generation to their grandparents is more

Therefore,
organisms resemble more to their parents than grand parents.
