The people that lived during the Chola period believed in the reincarnation of people that is the rebirth of a person.

They believe that the things that are done in this birth will be extracted in the next.

They build a tank for the purpose of irrigation and the words describe that anyone who destroyed it will be punished in the next birth since it will be an act to destroy a source of irrigation.
