18\2 = 9cm
ac^ 2 = af^ 2 + bc^2
ac2 = 81 + 4
ac2 = 85
ac=√ 85
in ∆ CDE
cd2 = ce2 + ed2
(√85)^ 2= 36 + a ed2
85 - 36 = ed2
√49 = Ed
7cm = ed

the length of chord = 7 + 7 = 14cm
