Answer:

minor segment's area is 20.38

major segment's area is 686.47

Step-by-step explanation:

a chord of a circle which subtends 60° at the center must form and equilateral triangle with the radii

so the length of the chord is 15 area of minor =

(area sector) - (area of triangle)

= {60°/360°}×π15² -( (√3)/4)15²

=(225/6)π-(√3/4)225

= 20.3818

area of major

= area of the circle - area of the minor

= 225π - 20.38

=706.85 - 20.38

= 686.477
