OF is perpedicular to CD.

In ΔOFD,

OD2 = OF2 + FD2 = 62 + 82  = 100

OD = 10 cm

OD = OB = 10 cm ...(radii of the same circle)

Similarly,

OB2 = OE2 + BE2

 102 = 82 + BE2

BE= 6 cm

Therefore length of the Chord = a + a = 6 + 6 = 12cm

hope it helps

Answer:

it makes a right angle tringle

distance is perpendicular on chord

chord divide half

8²+6²=R²

64+36=R²

R=√100

R=10cm
