let d chord be AB

draw a perpendicular frm centre to chord at M....it bisects the chord....AM = BM = 6cm

ang OAM = amg OBM = 30*

tan 30 = OM/6

OM = 6 root 3 cm

area of  triangle OAM  = 1/2  * 6root3 x 6 = 18 root 3 cm2

ar of tri OAB = 2 * 18root 3 = 36root3 cm2

in triangle OAM

r2 = 62 + (6root3)2

   = 36 +  108 = 144

r = 12 cm

ar of sector = 1/3 * 22/7 * 12 * 12 = 150.857

ar of segment = 150.85 - 36root 3 = 88.50331cm2
