A cinema Hall has three classes of tickets namely Delux, Classic & Economy. Classic is priced at $250/ticket. Delux is priced at $200/ticket & Economy is priced at $150/ticket. The number of Delux tickets was 50 more than that of the Classic & 100 less than that of Economy. If the total amount collected on that day was $77,500. Find the number of tickets of each class.

Hey There!

Here, Classes of Tickets:

-> Delux -> $200 / ticket

-> Classic -> $250 / ticket

-> Economy -> $150 / ticket

Let the number of Delux tickets = x

Now, number of Delux tickets is 50 more than the number of Classic tickets.

In other words, the number of Classic tickets is 50 less than the number of Delux tickets.

So, Number of Classic Tickets = x-50

Next, Number of Delux tickets is 100 less than that of Economy.

In other words, the number of Economy tickets is 100 more than that of Delux.

So, Number of Economy Tickets = x+100

So far, we have
Delux: $200/ticket -> x tickets
Classic: $250/ticket -> x-50 tickets
Economy: $150/tiicket -> x+100 tickets

Total amount collected would be:

Amount = 200(x) + 250(x-50) + 150(x+100)

This amount is given to be $77,500

So,

200(x) + 250(x-50) + 150(x+100) = 77500
So, 200x + 250x + 150x - 12500 + 15000 = 77500
So, 600x = 75000
So, x = 125

Thus,
Number of Delux tickets = x = 125 tickets
Number of Classic tickets = x-50 = 75 tickets
Number of Economy tickets = x+100 = 225 tickets

Hope it helps
