A circle is inscribed in a equilateral triangle ABC. Another smaller circle is drawn such that AB and BC are tangents to the smaller circle. What is the ratio of the area of larger circle to the area of smaller circle?

Answer:

The height of the triangle is 3R. It is also 2R+3r.

Therefore, R=3r

required ratio is 9:1..
