area of square = 3 x 3 = 9cm²

now radius of circle will be 1.5 cm

area of circle is = π r²

3.14 x 1.5 x 1.5 = 7.065 cm²

so shaded area is :
Area of square - Area of circle

9 - 7.065 = 1.935 cm²

side of square = 3m

side of square = diameter of circle

3m = 2r => r = 1.5m

area of square = ( side)^2

= (3)^2 = 9m^2

area of circle= πr^2

= 22 (1.5)^2/ 7 = 49.5/ 7

area of shaded region

= area of square - area of circle

= 9 - (49.5/7)

= (63 - 49.5)/ 7 = 13.5/ 7 m^2

= 1.92m^2

Answer:
--------------

area of shaded region = 1.92m^2
