Area of shaded region :

= π × ( R² - r²)

Here R = 5 cm and r = 3 cm

Then 22/7 × { (5)² - (3)²}

= 22/7 × (25 - 9)

= 22/7 × 16

= 352/7

= 50. 2 cm²

= 50 cm ( nearest to hundredth).
