Impedance ( Z ) is the effective resistance to current flow.

Z = ZR + ZL + ZC

Here: R = 12  Ohm,   Z = 15 Ohm

The power factor ( PF ) of the circuit is equal to the cosine of power phase angle ( Ф ).

PF = cos ( Ф ) = R / Z

PF = 12 Ohm / 15 Ohm

PF = 0.8

Answer: The power factor of the circuit will be 0.8.
