A circular clock has a minute hand measuring 12 inches long. how far, in inches, does the outermost tip of the minute hand travel in 20 minutes?

The distance covered by the minute hand in 60 minutes = circumference of the circle of radius 12 inches.

Now the distance covered in 20 minutes will be 1/3 of the circumference.

= 1/3*2*pi*r
=2/3*pi*12
=8*pi

Taking pi = 3.14

Distance covered by the minute hand in 20 minutes = 25.12 inches
