a circular conducting loop is kept just above the wire PQ as shown in the figure. What is the direction of induced current in the loop if any when the current flowing in a straight wire
a)is steady
b)is increasing in magnitude

At steady state the induced current will be zero since the change in current is zero.. And
When the current is increasing then, the induced current will be in the clockwise direction.

(I) In the first case, there will be no induced current in the circular loop
(ii) In the second case, whenever the current's magnitude. is increased, then only there will be current induced in circular loop and it's direction will be from east to west as opposite of the direction of current in the wire PQ
