Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Diameter of flower bed = 66m

Diameter of circular area including the path

= 66+(4+4)

= 74m

Area of circular flower bed = π*66*66

= 4356π

Area of circular area including path

= π*74*74

= 5476π

Area of path = 5476π - 4356π

= 1120π

= (1120*22)/7

= 160*22

= 3520 m^2

Question

A circular flower bed is surrounded by a path 4m wide the diameter ofthe flower bed is 66m what is area of this path?

Answer

Perimeter of circular flower bed = \large \sf \cancel \frac{66}{2} =33m.

Radius of circular flower bed with 4m wide path (R) = 33+ 4

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀= 37m

Area of path = π R² - π r²

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀= π ( R² - r² )

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀= 3.14 ( 137 )² - (33))²

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀= 3.14 ( 1369 - 1089 )

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀= 3.14 ( 280 )

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀= 879.20 m²
