A circular plane sheet of radius 10cm is placed in uniform electric field of 5*10^5 N/C making an angle of 60° with field Calculate the electric flux through the sheet​

Explanation:

R= 10 cm or .1 m , E= 5*10^5 n/c

as the plane sheet makes an angle 60 with the electric field .

as we know area vector is always perpendicular to the surface , so the area vector will make an angle 90-60 = 30 with the elctric field .

now simply applying the formulae,

∅= E*A*COS theta

5*10^5 * π R^2 * cos 30

5*10^5 * 3.14(0.)^2 *√3/2 = 1.5*10^4 Nm^2/C  ans... ( cos 30 = √3/2 ) √3= 1.73
