Answer:

Given,

Diameter = 17.5

Radius = 8.75

Area of pond = 22/7 × 8.75 × 8.75

= 240.625

Again it is surrounded by 2m wide path

Therefore diameter = 17.5+2+2 = 21.5

Radius = 10.75

Area of pond along with path

= 22/7×10.75×10.75

= 363.196

Area of path = 363.196 - 240.625

= 122.571

Cost of constructing the path

= 122.571×25

= Rs 3061.50

Radius of the circular pond, r1 = \sf{\frac{17.5}{2}m=8.75m}

Radius of the outer circle, r2 = \sf{8.75m+2m=10.75m}

Area of the path °

\longrightarrow\sf\red{\pi( {r2}^{2}  -  {r1}^{2} )}

\longrightarrow\sf\red{3.14 = ( {(10.75)}^{2}  -  {(8.75)}^{2}  {m}^{2} }

\longrightarrow\sf\red{3.14(10.75 + 8.75)(10.75  - 8.75) {m}^{2}}

\longrightarrow\sf\red{3.14 \times 19.5 \times 2 {m}^{2}}

\longrightarrow {\boxed{\sf{\red{122.46m}^{2}}}}

Hence, the cost of constructing the path at the rate of \sf{Rs.25/{m}^{2}}

= \sf\purple{122.46 \times 25}

= {\boxed{\sf{\purple{3061.50}}}}
